The Construction Federation of India (CFI) was founded in December 2000 under the able leadership of industry stalwarts and serves as a platform for the construction universe. As a founding member of CFI, I am proud of CFI's prominent position of recognition within the construction fraternity, affiliated industry partners and government agencies.
CFI has voiced the concerns of the industry over this period of time and has been able to find solutions with its stakeholders - fair and equitable contract conditions, service requests to equipment manufacturers and supply chain to ably support the industry.
I would urge all entities associated with the construction industry (contractors, developers, equipment manufacturers, material suppliers, designers, consulting engineers, etc.) to become a part of CFI and interact with industry stalwarts and government bodies on key policy matters impacting the country, the industry and the society."
“CFI is one of the unique bodies which represents the construction sector in India. As the size of the industry expands multi-fold due to high activity in the Infrastructure and Industrial space, bodies like CFI are crucial to success for the companies in this space.
In an environment where industry challenges demand nuanced policy interventions, CFI stands tall as our industry's voice, skilfully navigating the intricacies of policy formulation and implementation. Through its tireless efforts, it not only raises pertinent issues but also offers concrete policy recommendations, ensuring that our concerns are not just heard but acted upon.
Endorsed by the government and esteemed industry peers, CFI serves as a catalyst for positive change. Its unwavering commitment to addressing key industry issues fosters collaboration and drives meaningful progress. Whether it's collaborating for regulatory reforms or championing initiatives for sustainable growth, it remains steadfast in its mission to shape policies that benefit our industry and its stakeholders.
To be associated with CFI is to be part of a community dedicated to excellence, advocacy, and progress. It's a privilege to stand alongside an organization and industry peers that not only identifies challenges but actively works towards solutions, ensuring a brighter future for our industry and our nation.”
The Construction Federation of India is doing a great job representing the Indian construction contracting fraternity at various forums and drawing the attention of policy makers to the challenges being faced by the engineering and construction industry. We believe CFI is performing several functions that can lead to better outcomes on public infrastructure policy, contracting strategies, taxation system, standards and practice for the Indian construction sector.
CFI is playing an important enabling role for construction contractors and the broader community. It is also facilitating knowledge sharing and relationship building, providing a forum for stakeholders to collaborate on addressing common and complex problems, and allowing industry to have a collective voice in infrastructure policy debates.
CFI has adhered to high standards of professionalism and has been constructive in their engagements with all stakeholders. It has acted with integrity while reflecting the views and positions of CFI members as a whole."
"CFI has been instrumental in advocating policy reforms to streamline approval processes, reduce bureaucratic hurdles, and enhance contract enforcement in the construction sector. It actively contributes to national infrastructure development discussions, offering insights on initiatives like the National Infrastructure Pipeline (NIP) and Smart Cities Mission.
CFI organizes training programs and workshops to upgrade industry skills and collaborates with educational institutions to develop relevant curricula. It promotes sustainable construction practices, including green building standards and energy-efficient technologies.
CFI regularly engages with government bodies to represent industry interests, participates in policy discussions, and develops guidelines on safety, quality control, and project management. Additionally, it hosts conferences and networking events to facilitate collaboration among industry leaders, policymakers, and stakeholders."
"CFI actively supports the entire Infrastructure ecosystem in the country with proactive policy advocacy and initiatives for regulatory transformations to strengthen the delivery of Global standard Infrastructure for Nation Building.
With renewed mission, CFI is working towards establishing comprehensive Industry Standards for best practices in Quality, Safety and Environment along with comprehensive skills training programs.
CFI's initiatives also focus on new-tech development with Equipment and Materials manufacturers for design improvements aimed at increased efficiency and across-the-board deliverability."
