The Construction Federation of India (CFI) was established in the year 2000 by leading civil engineering construction firms of India engaged in building dams, power stations, roads & highways, bridges, tunnels, seaports, airports, metros, and other basic infrastructures of National importance.

CFI is a representative body with a two-fold mission:

Since its inception, CFI has been committed to identifying industry challenges and shortcomings affecting project implementation. It has actively advocated for necessary amendments to laws, tax policies, and regulations at both the Central and State levels to align them as per the requirements of the Indian construction sector.

Our Objectives

  • 1Establish effective and functional alliances with domestic and international organizations/ institutions with similar goals.
  • 2Collaborate to achieve technology upgradation, efficiency improvement and establishing world class quality systems to enhance productivity.
  • 3Collaborate to achieve better management of Finance, Human Resource, Technology, Education by providing research inputs.
  • 4Maintain libraries for construction industry to provide knowledge base regarding economic, fiscal, commercial, labour, social, technical, legal, and educational material, and to act as a national point of reference for those seeking the industry reviews.
  • 5Collect and circulate information and statistics of construction industry and gradually develop a databank.
  • 6Institute awards, scholarships for recognising outstanding achievements on individual and company level.

CFI coordinates and cooperates with the leading Industry bodies including Builders Association of India (BAI), Confederation of Real Estate Developers' Associations of India (CREDAI), National Real Estate Development Council (NAREDCO) and National Highways Builders Federation (NHBF).

CFI also has mutual agreement with international bodies like International Road Federation.
